Case Study 2 – Individual

Due to the sanitary crisis in 2020, a project manager with over 10 years of field experience, found herself laid-off and was struggling to find a new job. She has had a couple of job interviews, but although the companies valued and appreciated her profile and experience, they all made the same remark, she was not a certified project manager. She decided to do some research about the different certifications and came along the two major ones in Switzerland – PMP® and IPMA®. As she was aiming to retake a position in an international organization, she decided to pursue the PMP® certification. She made an official demand at her unemployment office and the financing of this certification was approved, as it was considered a major asset and door-opener for future employment.
