ActiveX error

Your situation:

 

When you try to log in with your username and password…

 

 

… the following error message appears:

                    

 

 

This error message is due to the configuration of your Internet browser which prevents an ActiveX element from working.

 

 

You can resolve this problem as follows:

 

1. Close all open browser windows.

 

2. Open a new window and go to the page www.sts.ch/el

 

3. In the menu bar of your browser click on ‘Tools’ then on ‘Internet options’.

 

 

 

 

4. In the ‘Internet Options’ window click on tab ‘Security’ …

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

... and then on ‘Custom Level’.

 

5. In the ‚Security Settings’ window scroll down and make sure the following two options are set to ‘Enable’:

 

-          Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins

-          Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click ‚OK’ and confirm the following message by clicking ‚Yes’

 

 

 

 

6. Click ‘OK’ to close the ‚Internet Options’ window.

 

7.  Type your username and password and click ‘Login’.
